For those of you interested in the subject of boys and reading, I recommend you look at the research Bill Brozo has done. His publications should all be listed under William G. Brozo. One book he published, To Be a Boy, To Be a Reader: Engaging Teen and Preteen Boys in Active Literacy (International Reading Association, 2002), is an excellent resource.
A must read for anyone interested in boys and reading is "Reading Don't Fix No Chevys:" Literacy in the Lives of Young Men by Michael Smith and Jeffrey Wilhelm. (Heinemann, 2002).

Sullivan, Rogue Librarian Author, The Ultimate Weapon: The Race to Develop the Atomic Bomb (Holiday House, 2007) Visit my web site, http://www.sully-writer.com Visit my blog, Rogue Librarian: All About Books and Reading http://sullywriter.wordpress.com Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/sullywriter
