Please excuse the cross-posting. The NSW Premier's Literary Awards shortlist has been announced. The list for the Ethel Turner Prize for young people's literature (the young aduly category) is here:



The Patricia Wrightson Prize for childrern's literature shortlist is here:



The Premier payed a lovely tribute to Patricia Wrightson, who died last month, in her comments at the shortlist announcement.

Please note also that Kathy Charles has also been shortlisted for the UTS Glenda Adams award for New Writing for her YA/cross-over novel Hollywood Ending.

Also of interest to those with in interest in YA fiction is Craig Silvey's Jasper Jones, shortlisted for the Christina Stead prize for fiction. Although published as an adult title, it could just as easily been published as YA.
