Hi everyone,

Big day Down Under—the Children's Book Council of Australia shortlists ar e announced in about 45 minutes. The longlist ("Notables") are up already, so we've been chattering away on Twitter about who's on and who's been overlooked. I'm very thrilled about a few of the books on the Notables and have all sorts of things crossed for the shortlists.
