On the other hand, Margaret Read MacDonald continues to produce a fair number of good folktales every year. What I love about her books is that she makes those tales accessible for a storyteller to learn and tell. She collects tales from around the world and brings them home to us! One of her publishers, August House, usually does several good folktale books each year. I like to support those publishers that keep the storytelling & folklore tradition alive....
