To follow up on comments made by Dean Schneider and Henrietta Smith about Vaunda Nelson's CSK winner "Bad News for Outlaws," I'd like to add that I was pleased to see a nonfiction picture book recognized for its outstanding writing. Also, there is a wonderful interview with the author by Joy Fleishhacker in the March issue of "School Library Journal." Here is a direct link:
