Hi CCBC-NET community,
This extended discussion about award-winners teaches me so much about
book evaluation and the diversity of literature that our library world
recognizes as distinguished. Thanks.
I thought you might enjoy the following link that contains free online
materials about the 2010 ALA Youth Media Award winning books, authors,
and honorees.
http://teachingbooks.net/awards2010
Scroll down and you'll find a handful of highlighted books, authors and awards -- with movies of the book creators in their studios, audio
recordings of the authors explaining why they wrote these award- winning books, teacher / discussion guides, authors pronouncing their
names, and more.
At the top of the webpage is a link "to explore all resources for the
award-winning books and authors." Within that you'll find all the online materials from TeachingBooks.net that support the 2010 recipients of the Newbery, Caldecott, Pura BelprŠ¹, Printz, Sibert, Geisel, Coretta Scott King, Odyssey, Schneider, Morris, YALSA nonfiction, Edwards, and the American Indian Youth Literature Awards.
This is more than 300 online resources!
On behalf of all of us at TeachingBooks.net, I hope you enjoy these multimedia connections to the book winners. And please know that this
link may be freely shared with your colleagues. No signin or subscription to our service is needed to access these materials.
Best,
Nick
