I get the list in digest so forgive me if these points have been raised.
1. The eligibility period for the YALSA Nonfiction Award is from November 1 to October 31 so I would expect to see THE RISE AND FALL OF SENATOR JOE McCARTHY by James Cross Giblin on next year's shortlist. With David Godine being a small press, it wouldn't suprise me if they did not submit GENIUS OF COMMON SENSE for the brand new award.
2. The Audie nominations were recently released and four of the five Odyssey winners are represented in one of the three youth categories. WE ARE THE SHIP is the only one not represented. Also, GOING BOVINE is nominated in the teen category.
