Happy Monday, Everyone,
Please join us at The Brown Bookshelf as we celebrate some of the best und er-the-radar and vanguard black children's books authors and illustrators. Our 28 Days Later campaign kicks off today with a spotlight on Marguerite Abouet. Each day during Black History Month, we'll profile one of our hon orees. We hope you'll visit often and join us in saluting their work.
Team member Don Tate created a 28 Days Later poster that's available for free download:
We hope it becomes a valued part of classrooms and libraries.
The Brown Bookshelf is a team of authors and illustrators dedicated to pus hing awareness of the many African American voices writing for young reade rs. The team includes Paula Chase-Hyman, Varian Johnson, Don Tate, Kelly Starling Lyons, Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich and Tameka Fryer Brown.
