The very long list of awardees and runners-up from the youth divisions of ALA, aside from seeming to be in an uncontrollable state, will render any other discussion in this calendar year--lost.
Long, long, long--too long. Could the committees not make up their collective minds as they gathered and garnered gleaned?
Shocked--but not surprised-- Big Grandma
(Then again, once more the wisdom of, one assumes, the ALSC Board of Directors, assures almost all awardees of all ALSC ((and non-ALSC)) committees were jammed into the poor old Notable Children's Books List--whether or not such titles were discussed by NCBC.)
I refrain from further comment since I am p.n.g. (persona non grata) at ALSC.
