Hi Renee, The fourth graders did a great job defending their books. There were 4 classes, almost 100 students. They chose *A Penguin Story* by Antoinette Portis as the winner and *Dinotrux* by Chris Gall as the Honor Book. It was a lot of fun. Can't wait for the news of which books win the "real" awards. Anita visits each class and explains the Caldecott criteria to them, and discusses the books with them. Then she leaves the books with the classes so that they have a couple of weeks to have everyone exam them and comes back where they have a final discussion and vote. It's a wonderful program and the children really get into it. Everyone can't wait to see what will really win on Monday
