Beth,

Thanks for writing about how you run things. I really like the way you've incorporated technology. Nina Lindsay has been looking to do that for her mock Newbery group in Oakland. I was just curious about such large groups because we had twenty five people in Oakland and broke into two separate groups.

Anyway, my students generated a shortlist of nine books based on their reading. We had ten, but they reluctantly took THE STORM IN THE BARN off because the text is not independent of the pictures.
