Oh no--I did three books with her and lost contact after she started her boutique. How young. How sad.

It is so sad to hear that Pat Ross, an extraordinary editor who worked at Knopf, has died at the age of 66. Pat edited authors as Betty Miles, Norma Klein , and published my first novel, MAMA, still in print after 33 years, (paperback Boyds Mills Press.)

Pat was also the author of several picture books including the M&M series,

illustrated by Marilyn Hafner.

What a loss...
