I'm curious how many librarians are acquiring new books in electronic format and what kind of readers they are purchasing/using to make these available to their users if any. There's a lot of promotional effort going into the google reader vs. kindle as Christmas gifts, but couldn't e-books also be made available in "read-only" formats for computers? How many libraries are stocking e-book readers and an e-book list?
Nice blog from Holt regarding the kind of books that are being sold outside of mainstream publishing in e-book format.
