Reading the World XI - University of San Francisco, announces two more speakers:
Jeffrey Garrett, Associate University Librarian for Special Libraries & Director, Special Collections and Archives at Northwestern University Library will discuss children's book illustration from the Bologna Book Fair and Margarita Engle, Pure Belpre winner will be the speaker at the Celebration Dinner on Saturday Evening.
READING THE WORLD XII, March 6,7, 2010. SF Presentation Theater, School of Education Building, 2350 Turk Street, San Francisco, California.
This celebration of multicultural literature for children and young adults will feature, іThree Legends, Three Friends,І Ashley Bryan, Jan Spivey Gilchrist, and Eloise Greenfield. Other featured speakers are Francisco Jimйnez, Firoozeh Dumas, Robin Smith and Deborah Taylor.
There will be a variety of breakout sessions with authors, illustrators, publishers, editors, teachers and librarians, showcasing the very best in multicultural literature, plus a Book Market and opportunities to interact with speakers and participants. The Nye Memorial Children's Literature Tour for 2010 will visit Southern France, Bavaria, see the Oberammergau Passion Play and end up in Venice.
