Just like the decoder ring in my favorite holiday film, A Christmas Story!

 Multi-platform books

Margeret Mullin asked:

I'm (just now) reading the first Artemis Fowl book...I know, I'm a little behind the times.

I noticed that there's a code running along the bottom of each page. * Does anyone have any students who have solved the code? * Has there been any social buzz about the code? * Are there computer or other tie-ins for this series?

I actually solved it because I love decoding. As codes go, this one is not too hard. It turned out to be a disappointment, though. It promoted something --either the website or the next book in the series, can't remember which. I felt as though I'd been had.
