Hi Nick-

If I go by circ figures alone, the 39 clues books are checking out like gangbusters. I think bookstores can attest to the popularity by the sales figures as well.

Certainly, I think the multimedia platform helps sell the book. These particular books have game cards included which help the reader decipher the mystery but they are not essential to the reader's enjoyment of the story. IMO, all the bells and whistles here speak to the multitasking ability of the Millennial generation and this is a big draw. Whether or not the books are turning kids on to reading is anyone's guess. I do know that the books are bringing them into the library and that's a good thing.
