I'm reporting back to say that after my post about reviewing for SLJ, the ed itor contacted me. We have agreed to disagree about the book in question, an d I will be doing some reviewing for them again. As in the past, I will appl y my highly critical eye to each title, and will raise any issues I have wit h a title with the editor. I hope to have a better level of open dialogue if issues like this come up again.
