October 19 New Yorker Mag

I am wondering how many read the New Yorker of 19 October. It had two long articles of interest--one on picture books and the generational theme of kids ruling the roost, and one on Alloy book packaging, packagers of the Gossip Girls and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. If this issue hasn't made it curb-side to the recycling, it's well worth a read.

I don't know why, but I found the piece on Alloy somewhat chilling, and the piece on picture books too true, though it ended with an appropriate laud for Kevin Henkes.

Anybody else read this?
