I picked up an ARC of Stitches at ALA this summer and brought it home for m yself. I read it in one hour -- straight through and I was mesmorized! Th e great thing I have been able to do with it this fall is hand it to teache rs and other adult friends who have been looking down on graphic novels. I insist they read it and they come back just amazed. What wonderful testim ony to the impact of a graphic novel!! Makes them all think twice about th e content and message of this newer format for literature! Thank you, Davi d Small! Erlene
