I work with many teens who love to cross over in the other direction and re ad adult books with teen appeal. These are also some of my favorite reads. I find that lots of teens read these and share them with their parents, o lder siblings, etc.

Some of the hot adult books with teen appeal in my library right now are:

The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti - reminiscent of Oliver Twist but set in Ame rica My Enemy's Cradle by Sara Young - a fabulous holocaust novel The Help by Kathryn Stockett - they're blown away by the stories of the mai ds in this Civil Rights era novel The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein - who can resist a story of li fe, love, death, and race tracks . . . narrated by the family dog! The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss - Harry Potter on steroids (really , it's magic and world building at its best!)
