We want to thank everyone for their patience with the migration to a new CCBC-Net server this past month. While there still are some things to work out--most notably access to the archives, we hope we can get the discussions flowing smoothly again in October.
Below is a summary of the various key CCBC-Net commands that I've sent out in various messages. I hope this is helpful.
A Few Key CCBC-Net Commands:
To Unsubscribe:
Send a blank message TO:
leave-ccbc-net_at_lists.wisc.edu
(or click on the link at the bottom of CCBC-Net messages)
To Join:
Send a blank message to:
join-ccbc-net_at_lists.wisc.edu
To receive the digest version (one message per day with all the day’s messages compiled):
Send a message TO
ccbc-net-request_at_lists.wisc.edu
with this single command in the BODY
set ccbc-net digest
If you find the digest version difficult to read, try setting it to
Send message TO
ccbc-net-request_at_lists.wisc.edu
with this single command in the BODY:
set ccbc-net mimedigest
To receive a copy of your own message posted to the list:
Send a message TO:
ccbc-net-request_at_lists.wisc.edu
With this commaned in the BODY:
set ccbc-net repro
To Access the Web Interface to Manage Your Settings:
You can log into your ccbc-net account to make changes via the web at:
Under List Subscribers, enter
ccbc-net
in the box in front of _at_lists.wisc.edu
You will be prompted for your e-mail address, and then your password.
We have found that most of you will not have a password to the web pages the first time you go to log in. You will be notified of a failed login and offered a button to "Email Password." Clicking on this button sends a message to you via email. Clicking on a link in the message returns you to a web pages to type a "New Password" and to "Verify New Password" then click on the "Reset Password" button to save it."
THEN you can log in with your password!
