I put this question out on the listserve because as librarians we tend to be the one in charge of Channel One at the school. In fact, on thurday the assistant principal asked me about it and if it was going to be on channel one. that was the first i had heard about the speech.

someone has been beating the drum about it and i think as librarians, we have an obligation to be informed. found out it will be broadcast live on the White House Web site (http://www.whitehouse.gov/live/) and on C-SPAN at 12:00 p.m., ET.

don't think anyone will be strapping the kids in chairs and taping their eyelids open for them to watch it, like in clockwork orange.

please check out the lesson plans, they def are in line with the new spis regarding speech and language arts.
