[CCBC-Net] Australian Frane Lessac available for visits in NY/NJ/CT this fall

Frane Lessac, who lives in Australia and has illustrated such titles as MY LITTLE ISLAND (a Children's Book of the Year by the Library of Congress, which sold over 300,000 copies) and NEW YORK, NEW YORK - THE BIG APPLE FROM A-Z, will be visiting the New York Metro area this fall and would be available to visit schools in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut while she is here. Her honorarium would be $1,000 a day, and she can do up to 4 sessions a day.
She can speak to large groups of 200 students at a time. She can also conduct more intimate workshops. Her books are picture books, but she is comfortable in front of any audience, from Kindergarteners to 12th graders and adults.
Equipment she would need: data projector and power board, white board and markers, a table, drinking water, pencils and paper; for K-2 students, she would need scissors; for groups of 60 students or more, she would need a microphone.
She will be in the New York area on the following dates:
October 5-16, 2009 October 26-30, 2009 November 2-27, 2009
