Thank you to this wonderful community for supporting efforts to keep
"Reading Rainbow" on the air. The petition I began ( http://www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/338798378) is a tiny part of an upsurge of interest and activity in ways to save this program which celebrates the joy of reading. The comments many of you made show the importance the program has in the lives of many viewers. The number of signers this morning stands at 491. I'll close the petition at the end of today, Tuesday, and mail it to Paula Kerger, President and CEO of PBS, tomorrow.
I truly believe this cause is worth our efforts.
