The autobiographical profiles in the Junior Book of Authors and Illustrators series, published by H. W. Wilson, are a wonderful source of anecdotal information about the publishing process - not necessarily the technical process, but the connection between author, illustrator, and editor that leads to a finished book.? Many of the authors and artists talk about childhood influences, inspirational teachers, and memorable events in their lives that led to their careers.?
