[CCBC-Net] Apology

I tried to post a similar comment last week, but seem to have some trouble with the technology. Anyway, I realize we are also discussing memorable characters. I think most children's books are plot driven because that is where kids are - in action. Richard Peck's Grandma Dowdell, however, I think drives the stories in /A Long Way from Chicago /and /A Year Down Yonder. / I'm sure there are others, but more are just strong characters in a plot driven book. It is interesting to think about a story. Dotz
