I loved the Bagthorpes as well. Still have the series on the shelf in my LTC. I'm going to re-introduce them. Thanks for the reminder for so many of these greats!

I do! I love that series. It was introduced to me by the late Dr. Millicent Lenz, who taught children's literature at SUNY Albany Masters of LS. She was quite an expert on the series. Each year I set aside a week in which I can re-read the whole series.

All the Bagthorpes are so eccentric and alive-on-the-page.
