OK -- So many great names! Who's going to build the Children's Literary Characters Facebook????

I'll add some other characters that I really like to the listings:

Homer Price (although I think I just loved his town and especially the donut machine!!)

Flicka, Ricka, and Dicka -- my first series checked out and read from the public library in Morning Sun, Iowa!
(which my mother let me walk to each Wed. afternoon and Saturday by myself -- the only days they were open) OH -- National Velvet!!!!! Loved the girl and the horse! (the last children's book I read there before I was allowed to check out from the adult section!)

Trixie Belden and all the BOGs

Joey Pigza -- with an ADD son, I couldn't stop laughing at Joey Pigza Swallowed the Key or his parents as they chased around in the sequels!

Alice -- in Rapture, in Agony, wherever she was put by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. Anastasia Krupnick Hobie Hanson from Thirteen Ways to Sink a Sub and other funny books by Jamie Gilson. THE GREAT BRAIN Soup and Rob (I really enjoy kids who get into trouble because of wild ideas or experiments!)
