I have a particular interest in knowing if there is controversy about his Anansi book. I first encountered this being told by a storyteller as a participation story to groups of children in a hospital and was quite impressed with the results. Since then, I have thought it to be a useful book and have often given it to children who are interested in Anansi stories.
