Anything and everything by Kevin Henkes Anything and everything by Rosemary Wells Anything and everything by Eric Carle Anything and everything by Chris Van Allsburg WHAT LUCK! A DUCK! by Amy Goldman Koss PRINCESS SMARTYPANTS by Babette Cole GEORGE AND MARTHA: THE COMPLETE STORIES by James Marshall WHY DO MOSQUITOES BUZZ IN PEOPLE'S EARS by Verna Aardema THE LONELY DOLL by Dare Wright
And my youngest, age ten, loved a new illustrated version of THE SECRET GARDEN (Candlewick, Inga Moore). We read the book aloud together, but she refused to even peek ahead because she loved being enchanted by the beautiful illustrations.
