I can't believe no one has mentioned the best: Margaret Wise Bown, Lorna Balian, Helen Cooper, Lois Ehlert, Anthony Browne, Ana Maria Machado!

Our kids just love all books by Mo Willems, especially the Knuffle Bunny, pigeon and Elephant & Piggy books!

 Margie Palatini was mentioned, Pamela Duncan Edwards has not; we are HUGE fans of anything by Angela Johnson; currently beginner readers are wild about Fly GUy!
