Yes, I've listened to Stephen Fry's Harry Potter audiobooks and actually prefer them the American versions narrated by Jim Dale. I really don't like Dale's characterization of Hermione -- she sounds so annoyingly whiny -- so I have difficulty listening to them.
I originally got the first book narrated by Stephen Fry simply because I like him as an actor. I tried to make the switch over to Dale after everyone was raving about the U.S. audiobooks, but couldn't. So it may just be a case of what I'd grown used to.
