Thanks to all of you who have contributed to the lively discussion of this year's Caldecott winner and Honor Books. We are now turning out attention to the 2009 Newbery Medal and Honor Books for the next week. I hope that by now many of you have had a chance to read "The Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaiman, or one of more of the Honor Books: "After Tupac and D Foster" by Jacqueline Woodson; "Savvt" by Ingrid Law; "The Surrender Tree" by Margarita Engle; and "The Underneath" by Kathy Appelt. Please tell us what you think!
For more information about the Newbery winners, please see the ALSC website at: http://www.ala.org/ala/mgrps/divs/alsc/awardsgrants/bookmedia/newberymedal/newberymedal.cfm
Cheers, KT
