I, too, celebrate the awards announced on Monday, especially the announcement that Kathleen Horning has been selected to give the 2010 ALSC May Hill Arbuthnot Honor Lecture! Go to the ALSC website to see the list of former Arbuthnot Lecturers. You'll find the illustrious company KT's in - and it's where she most certainly deserves to be.
I also celebrate Jane Botham who is the 2009 recipient of the ALSC Distinguished Service Award, who - as KT wrote earlier today - has given so many of us an early chance to serve. Me, too, in more than one or two ways!
And I celebrate Ashley Bryan being named the 2009 Wilder Award winner. You'll see Ashley's name on the list of former Arbuthnot Lecturers, too!
Although we don't hold "mock" elections regarding these three annual honors, each is within a highly competitive field. Congratulations, KT, Jane and Ashley!
