Dear CCBC-Net Community,
Here at the CCBC, we are also thrilled by the selection of CCBC Director Kathleen T. Horning as the 2010 Arbuthnot Lecturer. Brava indeed!
We will discuss the various award results in turn over the coming weeks--and will post a schedule to that effect soon. In the meantime, we invite you to spend the rest of January offering your initial thoughts on the award announcements, as some of you have already begun doing with your warm words about Katy, as well as some thoughts on the Newbery selection.
You can (re)view the press conference webcast at www.ala.org/yma , while the main ALA web page (www.ala.org) has links to the press releases and additional information about each award. But for those of you who'd like it all condensed, below is the summary of the awards put together by our student staff (thanks to Michelle Wyler, Amanda Bolland, and Carling Febry).
