I highly recommend the Harvey Milk biography discussed below. Attractive illustrations and a simple story line make this a great introduction to this modern-day hero. Ages 5-10.

Dear friend of Two Lives,
We hope you've all seen the fabulous new movie Milk, about the life of Harvey Milk, starring Sean Penn and directed by Gus Van Sant.
As some of you may know, Two Lives published the only book for children about this important gay rights figure several years ago. We're pleased to report that the movie has generated new interest in the book.
