There were sooo many creative/original picture books this year!
Some of my personal favorites include:
Ghosts in the House by Kazumo Kohara Jackson's Blanket by Nancy Cote Lazy Little Loafers by Susan Orlean (the Orchid Thief author) Santa Duck by David Milgrim Trainstop by Barbara Lehman Twelve Terrible Things by Marty Kelley
And a work of nonfiction (which may not be everyone's cup of tea) that I really enjoyed--
Our Farm: four seasons with five kids on one family's farm by Michael Rosen
