Lee, what a tribute to your decades of commitment to bringing Poetry to children through your own poems, by creating poetry anthologies containing varied thematic pleasures, and by developing inviting collections of poetry for newly independent readers. You've continued to champion new poets both on and off the page. You've remembered poems representing the proverbial test of time, as well as including lesser known poems. For any reader of any age, many a poem is "lesser known," and more probably not known at all. Your efforts have secured many poems and poets within our reading and listening memories. It's so fitting that Nick Glass suggested that we listen to you recite one of your poems as well as tell how it came to be. Again, congratulations!

Cordially, Ginny
