This is from the FSU College of Information Studies newsletter (not online):
"Dr. Eliza T. Dresang will be retiring form Florida State University at the end of 2008. It is hard to say enough about her contributions to the College and to the profession. We wish her the best with her family on the West Coast."
I had Dr. Dresang for three (I think) classes at FSU while working on my MLIS, and found her to be one of the most interesting of all my professors. As most of us know, she has served on many Newbery Commissions, and hosted "Mock Newbery" sessions in Tallahassee.
I join in the College in wishing her the best!
