? Though the books themselves aren't about being only children, there are several Kevin Henkes books appropriate for the age and topic.? I'm thinking most specifically of Chysanthemum.? She appears to be an only child and the story celebrates how very loved and special she has been since birth...as she enters school for the first time.? Hope this is helpful.
