Rick taught middle school for years and has created terrific teacher guide for Percy Jackson that is available on his website ( http://www.rickriordan.com/Teacher_Guide_to_Percy.htm) as well as a curriculum rational (http://www.rickriordan.com/Percy_rationale.htm). There are other guides and materials, but I particularly admire Rick's own guide. It is that of a teacher who really knew how to reach the age group he was teaching and very comprehensive.
