Forever is the reason that I am a librarian. When my daughter - who is now 42 - read it my husband picked it up - glanced through it and said
"HAVE YOU READ THIS? Well I hadn't. So I read it and after that I decided that I needed to read everything my daughter was reading so we could talk about anything that came up. I was a teacher for eight years before she was born but stayed home to raise my family after. Well, it didn't take very long after Judy Blume's Forever for me to go back to school and become a children's librarian. I have read mostly children's books ever since. So I would say that Judy Blume changed my life.
