Have you used books published this year that especially engaged beginning readers? If so, the Theodor Seuss Geisel Committee wants to hear from you.
The Geisel Award Committee of the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) requests your suggestions for outstanding books published for beginning readers during 2008. The award is given for both text and illustration. Please send your favorites to me at jatkinso at slis.ua.edu. The committee will meet at the Midwinter American Library Association conference in Denver in January to select a winner and possibly honor books.
