In the late 70's, early 80's, the Blegvad's created a charming series with Margaret K. McElderry of nursery rhymes: HARK! HARK! THE DOGS DO BARK; MITTENS FOR KITTENS; THE PARROT IN THE GARRET,; THIS LITTLE PIG-A-WIG. Erik's stunning illustrations in the tradition of Kate Greenaway adorn the wonderful small-sized volumes.
These treats are certainly worth looking into to addi to any collection of
old English and American nursery rhymes.
I treasure my copies.
