I am hoping that this discussion will delve into other eras of history. While I find the recent discussion of titles relating to Hitler and World War II worthy and interesting, I would like to hear recommendations of titles relating to other periods in history as well. By way of example, I might pair Dragonwings by Laurence Yep with the biography, Good Fortune: My Journey to Gold Mountain by Li Keng Wong. Both stories about young Chinese boys and immigration to California.
