This is getting OT, but I must say that AND BOTH WERE YOUNG was my absolute favorite book in 5th grade. I've written about this before, but I loved it so much I bought a notebook and started copying the whole book into it (as it was a library book and I didn't live where such a book was available to buy --- 1960s East Lansing, Michigan). I gave up after a few chapters and have been afraid to read it as an adult for fear I will hate it now.
