In addition to Kerlan, the archives at the University of Southern Mississippi at the Lena Y. deGrummond Collection are astounding. I have been there; lock myself in for days poring over the treasure trove of correspondence, et. al.
It was at this archive that Anita Silvey discovered the unpublished manuscript at an exhibition of the Rey' papers, thus WHITEBLACK THE PENGUIN SEES THE WORLD.
My papers are all at Kerlan after Lena, herself, urged me from the beginning of my career to donate the materials to the University.
