As much as I adored L'Engle personally, I never liked WRINKLE and its sequels. My favorite book of hers was THE SUMMER OF THE GREAT GRANDMOTHER, possibly because I read it as I was caring for my dying father in my own home, surrounded by teenagers and a husband going through tenure.
