I like to browse through the blog reviews and definitely use them in addition to journal's print and web reviews. I always look for a "heads up" on what's new or buzzworthy - and reactions to the books in the kidslit blogosphere. I've been burned a few times with a stinker or two, but how is that different from any of our experiences with traditional print reviews ;->

It's nice to see such variety and enthusiasm for the blogs that have sprung up in the past few years. I'm wondering if anyone uses the blog reviews of new books in library book selection. Do they influence what you purchase? How do you think blog reviews measure up to reviews from professional review journals? KT Kathleen T.
