Bridget, I love your honesty! I also like to read blogs to procrastinate or to reward myself for getting some work done. And blogs definitely help to create a community among authors. I often read blogs of authors that I admire, just to get to know them and their process a little bit better. I have found that many (most?) children's book authors are generous, thoughtful, and interesting people. Writing can be a lonely profession, and connecting through blogs is a way to bring us together.

I read many of the blogs already mentioned. But I don't think anyone has talked about Judy Blume's blog. It's relatively new. I love getting an inside peek at my hero's life! http://judyblumeblog.blogspot.com/
